Where to put my HRT patch when I go for a massage

Hi all, first time poster here! I've come to mumsnet on and off for years when I need to find some advice as your answers always make sense and help me out. However I think I need to ask my question now directly to you all!

I use Evorel 50 HRT patches and wear them on my backside. However I am due to go for a half body massage soon and I want to make sure that they are well out of the way. Are they okay to be put on the stomach? I tried putting it there once and it seemed to move around a bit, mainly because my tummy is of a larger size :-)

Has anyone got any experience of where best to put the patch, I also have a small bit of an apron belly so can't figure out where its best to go?

Thank you lovely ladies for any advice you can give x

Wouldn't recommend stomach, either top front of thigh or leave off for hour or so

The Evorel patient information leaflet says the patch can be applied anywhere around the bikini area so yes I thing your lower stomach under your pants would be fine. I sometimes apply to my stomach but I find it really sore ripping the patch off as my skin on my stomach must be thinner than the skin on my bum!

On your bottom?

I think I would be tempted to replace it that day, so take it off for the massage?

Mine says not to use body oils/creams etc in the area as it might affect it (not sure if they mean the ingredients or just the sticking).

Thanks all for your thoughts and advice. yeah I know mine has come a bit unstuck in the past if I’ve been overzealous with body lotion.

Maybe I’ll try the top front of the thigh, I’ve never put it there but maybe it’ll not move as much as on my stomach. My change over days are Friday and Monday mornings and my massage is on Saturday so holding on an extra day may be pushing it a bit, if it had been on a Tuesday I’d have maybe held off and just kept it off for a few hours.

I can’t believe the things you need to think of now but couldn’t be without my patch, best thing I ever did! 😀

Don’t change your patch day. Put in on / around your bikini line and under your pants so it won’t get in the way of the massage and no oil will get into it.
