What HRT are you taking with a Mirena coil?

Just that really.

I’m approaching 55. Always had regular light periods with no issues. A few years starting getting hot flushes, insomnia etc so GP started me on oral cyclical HRT after a couple of months my periods stopped for around 11 months. Then started again, irregular and heavy and menopause symptoms worsened. Upped the estrogen to 3mg and moved Progesterone to daily. Menopause symptoms stopped but bleeding everyday for several months with a day off here and there. Had scans (endometrial a bit too thick), hysteroscopy (polyp removed) and biopsy (all good no cancer cells etc). They fitted a mirena coil at the time saying this would be the panacea - that was Xmas and I’ve not stopped bleeding since. I’ve been referred back to gynae but will be waiting several months. I’m still taking 3mg estrogen but not the progesterone as told the mirena would cover that but I’m now wondering if it does or if I’m on too much estrogen. So just wondering if others with the mirena still take both estrogen & progesterone or not?
