Private menopause specialist in Leeds (or thereabouts)

I am interested in booking a private appointment with a menopause specialist. I am not especially suffering from debilitating menopause symptoms at the moment- although I have a few (currently 48). However, I am really interested in understanding the potential cardiovascular benefits of HRT as with high blood pressure and familial hypercholesterolaemia (controlled by medication), I am higher risk than average for heart/stroke issues as I age. Getting a GP appointment on the NHS locally is a nightmare and I am willing to pay for a longer, more in-depth appointment. Any recommendations? I know the cost of a face to face appointment is approx £300 for initial appointment. Would anyone be willing to share how much they spend on private prescriptions on an ongoing basis? Many thanks.

@Fayrazzled I hope you don't mind me asking how you got on. I also have FH and wondered what the current thinking is regarding HRT if you have this condition, did you get any answers and did it improve your cholesterol levels by any chance? I was on it previously but it caused some other issues so I didn't continue. I've been wondering if it's worth trying a different type. My cholesterol has got higher post menopause so I have a telephone appointment next week, I'm sure my statins will get increased, which doesn't bother me, but I'm interested in whether HRT would help too.
