Is it Ok to use Ultrogestan (or Gepretix) every night non stop?

My GP has changed my treatment to one capsule of progesterone 100mg every night. It means I do not have an interval or a period anymore.

I'm confused. I thought that the idea of combining a progestrone with the estrogen was to provoke periods, making the womb thinner and thus protecting it.

The leaflet recommends to take for 25 days (I suppose it meant to stop for 5 days), but my GP says that taken non-stop is also effective. How? Would somebody be kind to explain me? Many thanks.
