HRT and bleeding

I've just had a long chat with a lovely GP and we've agreed I'll try HRT patches to see if they help with brain fog and lack if focus.

I'm still having periods, although not so regular, so they're going to be cyclical oestrogen and progestogen, which I understand means I'll continue to have regular bleeding.

I forgot to ask, does that mean regular monthly bleeding, or will it become more erratic, as it has already started to do?

If so, does that mean this will continue indefinitely/ until the medication is changed? I.e. I won't know when my periods would have stopped naturally?
