Help! Skin is awful since going on Oestrogel!

I've been on Oestrogel for a number of months now, but admittedly I do forget to apply daily and I have been adjusting the dosage to try and resolve this issue., so this will most likely have made it worse.
I have never really suffered with dry or spots, not even during the teenage years, but since going onto HRT my skin is very dry, sore and rashed. I have spots round my jawline, neck, nose and cheeks.
Has anyone had this? Hoping this is a short term problem.

Unless you still have your womb you will be using a type of progestogen too- Utrogestan perhaps?

That's the most likely cause of the skin break out, not estrogen.

Thank you for your reply, I have the mirena coil but I have had that for over 3 years now. Perhaps there is something else going on!

I find that my skin is bad whenever I've had to make an adjustment to my oestrogen dosage, so maybe the fluctuations aren't helping you. Try setting an alarm on your phone to make sure you take the same dose every day, and see if it makes any difference over the next month or so.
