Thought it had stopped!

Morning
I'm about to be 55. My last period was in August.
Until this morning! Has anyone else experienced a 7 month break and then had a period?
I am a health worrier and I'm imagining that it could be other things, rather than a straightforward period.

I had a year of no periods then had two and nothing since, 8 months ago. I'm 56. I had investigations but all was normal. It's very common.

I got to 350 days. Two more weeks and I would have been there. This has happened twice now. I did get it investigated though. Apparently I have a couple of ovarian cysts and my ovaries are having 'a last hurrah' 🙄 I go back in six months for another scan to check the cysts. Hopefully by then my ovaries will have STFU and settled into retirement. I'm 56 this year.

I went nearly three years with a period every 7 months before stopping.

I’ve just posted about this without seeing your comment . The same has just happened to me ! I’m 53 not on hrt in peri for 4 years . I’ve just got to 10 months then the most awful cramps , boob pain, anxiety . I’ve had this a few times though since last May . But I like you have had a slight bleed this time . ! I also am a worrier . It’s more the fact I’m still sometimes when I wipe having a dirty looking colour on the loo roll I2 days in , but not all the time . I hope all these comments have helped you . I’m guessing it’s the joys of being a woman .
