Anger and no libido

I’ve been on the gel for about 18 months now, and my anger and libido haven’t improved. If I asked for testosterone would it help the anger ?

The anger is pretty scary. It causes me physical symptoms and shortness of breath. I hope to live through this transition.

I think the progesterone helped my anger. It's calming (to the point of soporific sometimes).

Can you get the mirena fitted or take more utro or increase your patch?

My consultant told me that testosterone improves libido for around 50% of women so it is definitely worth a try. You might find that when your sex life is happier that you feel more happy generally (certainly it worked for me).

It took me a very long time (over a year) to get testosterone on the NHS but it made much massive difference for me that my sister just booked a private appointment and got testosterone that way. I think it as only about £150, so if you're going through a difficult time then that's something to consider.

Oestrogen pessaries are also worth considering. Best of luck whatever you choose to do.
