Can't do this

52, post menopausal, TAH and unable to have HRT due to a secondary breast cancer diagnosis.

The symptoms are crippling me. Sweats in night and anxiety, oh the anxiety; it's brutal!

Driving is a disaster. I had to drive 10 minutes to the shops. Couldn't remember what to do, what gear, stalled the car.. it was horrific!

I simply can't live this way.

All I am told is try ( yet more ) medication for the symptoms. The cancer drugs are brutal enough, without adding more into the mix!

@Falifornia Okay, drugs are in my clutches.. pill cutter at the ready ( 25 mg to begin with) Tonight I will take it with the other drugs.

Yes, deep down I know the oestrogen I long for, is food my cancer( and letrozole would block it anyway!)

Magnesium glycinate? Any particular type/ brand/pill or spray?

@HoppyHat I will ask about Exemastane, thankyou. It can't be worse than letrozole (oh no!)!

Here we go then, evil drugs fighting evil cancer, with crappy menopause thrown in for good measure! 🙏

Can't post the link but I get these from Holland & Barrett: New Nordic
Magic Magnesium Glycinate 600mg 60 Tablets. Usually on 3 for 2 or BOGOHP.

I also got some magnesium cream that I saw on Facebook but it did nothing for me. I will 100% admit mind over matter on that one as a) it came from a FB advert b) I am stubbornly suspicious of anything my narrow mind classes as woo woo (a personal failing). Lots of people get good results with magnesium creams/sprays.

Strap in for a couple of potentially wobbly couple of days on the meds (hopefully it will all be fine!!). I've just remembered that as well as feeling pukey I had VERY vivid dreams for the first few nights. Neither of these side effects lasted more than a couple of days.

Bugger the flowers this time; sending Gin

Okay, magnesium type noted.
I had no idea there were so many different types? I've seen the Better You spray in Boots. I'm wondering about transdermal, given the number of bloody tablets I'm taking!

Pukey feelings, I may be able to manage. They've given me anti sickness tablets for the nauseating nausea the cancer drugs give me.

25 mg sertraline taken. Nothing to lose at all. What ever was in that bottle, has been downed ( with a custard doughnut!) 🌼
