HRT how soon to see an improvement?

I've Ben trying to manage everything naturally and have donell the diet and exercise recommendations, but nice had to admit defeat. My most troublesome symptoms are low mood, brain fog and lack of focus/motivation. All things that are really not like me.

I saw the loveliest GP today, who'sgiven me some information and arranged a further appointment next week to decide on treatment.

So assuming I go with HRT, how quickly should I expect to see an improvement? I'm hoping for a magic wand 😆 but is it not like that?

I felt like I was on a weird high for the first week or so. Don't know if it was in my head or an actual side effect. Then I had awful bloating -like when's it due levels of bloating -and felt a bit shit for around 3 months until it settled down. Now I feel normal! Not amazing or anything, but basically fine and mostly back to being myself (with odd cycle-related exceptions).

I started mine end of January but had Mirena coil put in last April (for progesterone). Now added oestrogen, Elleste solo, I believe. First month I was vomiting, that stopped when I started taking this in the evenings instead of mornings. I still have huge anxiety but that is now managed by beta blockers. Feeling slightly better but still far from myself ;( And the vaginal dryness.. to the point of painful still persists. I'm 47 in May and due to Mirena don't even know when my last period was. I hope it works for you swiftly I'm kinda trying to give it full 3 months to see how it works. Oh, but brain fog seems to be easing down :)

Some women claim to see almost instant effects but I suspect that is mind over matter as the medical information all says 3 months to see the full effect after starting HRT or changing dose/formulation

Felt somewhat better within days, then needed higher doses and eventually went on Testosterone and had a Mirena put back in as I wasn't getting along with other types of progesterone. But yes, noticeably better pretty much instantly. Go for it, protects against dementia and heart disease as well as osteoporosis.
