Prescription Prepayment Certificate

I have 2 prescriptions that are eligible for the HRT PPC and two that are not. My prescriptions usually cover 2 months supply. Doing the maths it would make sense for me to go for the general PPC and not the specific HRT one; but only if the general one also covers my HRT prescriptions.

Does anyone know if the general PPC covers HRT or are they only covered by the HRT PPC?

The general PPC covers everything, including HRT

From the NHS website

"A PPC covers all your NHS prescriptions, including NHS dental prescriptions, no matter how many items you need.*

12-month PPC costs £111.60 and will save you money if you need more than 11 prescribed items in a year so you would probably be better off with that which would cover you for any non-HRT stuff too.

Thank you! I was hoping that was the case.

Thank you. I have read the NHS website and it also says 'There’s a different way to get a PPC if you've been prescribed hormone replacement therapy' which suggests it's either/or.

Thanks for your help. I'll get on with that now!
