What to expect at NHS menopause clinic

I am 41 and have been in peri for about two years, on HRT for one. My GP is excellent but we’ve struggled to find the right HRT regimen. I’m currently on 2mg tablets Elleste solo, a coil, and then a 50mg patch as and when needed as my symptoms are so variable. I also have testosterone but don’t really get on with it.

I’ve been referred to the local NHS clinic due to age and the fact my symptoms are hard to control.

What happens when I get there though? Has anyone been to one?

I’ve just had my appointment through after a 12mo wait, sorry to hear yours is taking longer @FunnyFinch

Mine was awful and not worth the wait. She wanted to take me off oestrogen and take progesterone only at the age of 33 so I lost faith completely. I went private and haven’t looked back.
