Vitamins with HRT

I've been in HRT for about a year now. Evorel75 and Utrogestan 12 days on and 12 days off. I'm 45.

During my 12 days off, I sleep terribly! I'm very sore and achy, and in general a miserable cow.

I take iron supplements, and high strength Vitamin D (vit D during winter).

Can you recommend some peri/ menopausal vitamins or supplements that have been good for you?

Magnesium before bed helps me sleep

I was on 12 days on/12 days off Utrogestan and it messed with my sleep on the off days. Magnesium wasn’t enough to offset it. I’m on 25 days on/3 days off now and it’s much better.

I do iron, B complex, vit A, Zinc, D3 (with K2 - that's important to have both together) and magnesium glycinate. Not all magnesium is the same, you want glycinate with elemental magnesium of about 400 to help with sleep and aches.

Everyone's different.

Utrogestan is a sedative- that's why it's taken at night.

Some women hate it for that reason.

I sleep a whole lot better on my days off from Utrogestan.
It makes me hot, have vivid dreams and wake up during the night.
This is using it vaginally. If I take it orally, I have to get up at night for a wee and feel very sleepy for half the morning.

I don't think vitamins help but some women swear by magnesium.
