Feeling out of it after first hrt application

Hi, just applied my first hrt today. 0.5mg of sandrena gel. I very quickly felt quite out of it, like not really here, a bit diassociated. I cant describe it very well but a bit like im in a dream. Its odd and its 6 hours later and i still feel weird. Anyone else experienced this?

I don't have any experience of hrt but what you're describing sounds like depersonalization.

Were you particularly anxious before applying the gel?

Yes it feels like how depersonalisation is described but i was definitely not stressed or anxious. It feels like im a little bit high.

It will take a while to feel that it has settled and also when taking the progesterone part of it started getting pains in breasts but it all settles down. Try not to worry unless it persists for longer than a few weeks and maybe you need to try a different one like Oestrogel.
