Headache, fatigue, nausea regularly in cycle

Hi, I'm sat on the sofa feeling dreadful as I have done for the last 48 hours which has coincided with my period starting. I've had these symptoms before around my period and I think mid cycle. Am as debilitated as if I had a bad virus. And feeling decidedly sorry for myself.

Must be hormone related? Am just over 50, started hrt 6mths + ago, oest. gel daily and utrogestan tabs for 12/28. .

Anyone else had similar? Or have suggestions beyond HRT review - would be much appreciated thank you.

Yes I've been having this in peri. Sometimes hrt helped, sometimes it didn't as the bleeding was heavier.

I had to come off it and periods are still sporadic. The last one felt like full body flu but not this one. I'm just a bit washed out and tired. I've been slowly increasing regular exercise but especially weight training and it's possible that that is finally really helping for some reason. (Increasing lean muscle ?)

Eating a lot more protein in my diet too, especially plant based, the whole gut biome etc.

Could be histamine intolerance.

I have this, although I'm 32 so not sure if it's perimenopause.

I have anti sickness tablets from the GP, same as the ones I took in pregnancy.

Thanks for responding. Still ongoing.... bit late to take a migraine medication even if I had one but paracetamol and ibuprofen aren't making any difference 🙄

I’ve been having this for the last few years - 51 now, period still regular, but assume it’s perimenopause related. feels like a hangover: washed out, nauseous, headache, fatigue etc mid-cycle and at the start of my period. Not on HRT, and no advice - just solidarity !

Oh thanks @rickyrickygrimes it's really rubbish isn't it 🙄 I may get my hrt adjusted and see if that makes a difference... 🤞🤞🤞

The mid cycle one is completely new for me, never had that when younger. I have a tracking app on my phone, and I’ve learnt to check it when I feel that shit for no reason; inevitably it’s approaching or on ovulation day 🙄. It’s shite getting older.

It really is.

Esp having cone back from an afternoon looking after my elderly mum who is starting to have continence issues 😒
