Perimenopause Utrogestan dose confusion

Hi,
initially I was given HRT patches which were good at making me feel better but they kept falling off and my skin was red and irritated. Doc started me on 2 pumps of Oestrogel a day with one a day Utrogestan 100mg however I still get periods and it looks like I should be taking 2 tablets on days 15-26.
im on day 12 of the 1-25 days- what is the best way for me to go about changing to the 2 tablets?
should I continue of the one tablet to finish the 1-25 cycle or can I just stop for the rest of February and take 2 tablets for days 1-12 of March and each month thereafter as lots of folk say that’s the easy way to do it?
im so confused and I’ve had terrible depression which came on a few months after I changed to gel and patches. Please can anyone help?

It is so confusing when start this cycle we have all been there. I would take the 2 tablets now nightly and continue. I always put on phone calendar days have to take. Also if you are having any side effects to utrogestan you can take vaginally as less side effects as so many including myself sensitive to progesterone. Am sure someone else will be along to give more advise. Hope things improve but for me it was when I started to take the utrogestan vaginally that the severe low moods lifted. Wishing you well.

@redloulou42 For a start, don't panic.
This isn't a big 'thing'.

Yes, you can stop the tablets now and start again on 1 March for 12 days.

You might get a tiny bleed in the days from the end of Feb when you stop the tablets, but equally you might not (this is because stopping progesterone in cycles causes a bleed about 3-4 days later.)

However, as you've taken them daily your womb lining may not have any/much lining to shed.
