My periods stopped 5 years ago and because I felt I'd got through the menopause fairly easily (no hot flushes, periods just ended without flooding/ irregular bleeding etc) I never investigated HRT. But what I do feel (and more so as the years go by) is generally achey. Hips and knees mostly, and worse first thing in the morning, getting up after sitting down. It's very much generalised achiness and I can't help feeling it's probably menopause related. Would HRT help? Is it normal to start HRT several years post menopause? Or any other advice about how to alleviate this?

Research the benefits to your heart and bone. Yes, you can start it now. But if you don’t want to then look at a good quality omega 3, and D3 with K2.
