Not only are the awful symptoms I had on utro far better: Occasional bloating and cramps instead of 12 days straight ,BUT this is the first time in the 5 years I have been taking sequi progesterone that I don’t have horrible deep, painful acne all over my chin.
i never linked it with the utro- just with my hormones generally. I get some small and quickly done with pimples now. Previous I literally had massively non healing spots ALL THE TIME. Not just for the 12 days but all the time . So happy!

Lots of people prefer the mirena too, for the same reason.

It's very individual @BigButtons
Norethisterone (used it for 6 years) gave me an acne-type spot every cycle, and also bad PMS.
It's an androgenic type (linked to male hormones) and can cause excess sebum etc that promotes greasy skin and spots.

@JinglingSpringbells it really is. Early on in my HRT journey they put me on the tablets. The first half of the cycle was fine them come the progesterone part I literally had boils on my face. Never had spots like it. I was ashamed to go out. Stopped that immediately.
i have purple scars on my face from years of acne caused by the utrogestan ☹️.
