When can I stop taking progesterone after getting Mirena?

I’ve been taking Utrogestan for a couple of months and have now had a Mirena coil fitted. Anyone know if I can stop taking the Utrogestan immediately? I’m very sensitive to progesterone and had to reduce the Utrogestan dosage, so I’d rather not have too much of it sloshing around my system!
I did ask the doctor who fitted the coil but she seemed a bit vague…

I'm interested in this too. I'm getting a Mirena put in this week, as I keep bleeding on Utrogestan so my gynaecologist recommended a Mirena.

I've just assumed I can stop it immediately tbh, so that's what I'm planning to do.

I just hope the Mirena works to stop the bleeding. It stopped my periods completely when I had one put in during peri, but this is my first one as part of HRT.

I was the same and stopped the utrogestan as soon as the Mirena went in.

Thanks, @gegs73 . That’s what Louise Newsom’s Balance website says, but there absolutely no info anywhere on the NHS websites that I can see.
I think I’ll just stop the Utrogestan right away.

Hope it does the trick for you, @DramaAlpaca .
