Long term benefits of HRT

Can anyone please link me to articles supporting the long term benefits of HRT please? For heart, bones etc. I was talking with a friend who was really interested to know more and other than the general 'it goes beyond stopping night sweats and mood swings', I got stuck!

Thank you!

Look at Dr Louise Newson, she links to latest research regularly.

One of the best sources is the BMS.
There are lots of 5-minute videos here and if you scroll down there are 2 in particular about osteoporosis and heart disease.

The discussions are all led by consultants.

There is also a 1-hour interview with Prof Nick Panay on Liz Earle Wellbeing website, if you find her website or google the search terms (using what I've just said.)

He discusses women a) using HRT forever and b) women using HRT who don't have symptoms but would like the benefits of it.

BMS TV

The BMS has developed a series of short videos covering some of the key topics in menopause care by leading specialists in their field. You can also view these videos on the BMS YouTube Channel. The vital role of a national menopause society Sara Moge...

I really like Dr Nighat Arif's video's on Twitter and she's on Tik Tok too. Just search 'HRT' on her account and lots of brief, helpful videos come up around the science - e.g. benefits related to osteoporosis and dementia. She's very balanced and easy to understand but as a GP the info is based on the data.

Thank you! I knew you would come up with some resources.

I already have it on my medical records that I am never to be asked about stopping taking my HRT. FINALLY, at over 50, my MH is more stable than in my entire adult life thanks to HRT!
