Just wondering what "weird" symptoms people have experienced in perimenopause?

I am 38 and in the last few weeks I feel like my body (and mind) has gone haywire!

I have been to the doctor with ovary pain and bloating etc but following blood tests and an US, they haven't found anything, have been to the gynaecology clinic and they have suggested getting a mirena coil fitted. Just feel like my body isn't my own!

Dryness was my first symptoms, I was 39. I had dry skin , dry mouth , dry eyes, vaginal dryness. I had to treat each symptom with various creams and drops. It gets worse at different points in my cycle.

Within my perimenopausal time, but perhaps in the run up time to a irregular period, I found things tasted different. The toothpaste taste like flowers. It's mint to everyone else. A very strong sense of smell. The milk smelt off. It wasn't. It was like being pregnant again intermittently. My hubby smelt awful. He's overly clean with hygiene.

I'm mid 40's

Ovulation pain - never used to have
Back pain and joint ache at certain times of the month - feel like my mother (little old biddy bless her)
Memory issues for a few days a month
Speech also goes to shit - mix words up etc
Sheer rage, like actual "I need to go somewhere else right now before I throw something"
Beaus lines (anxiety)
Really bad period pain, worse than ever
Strange stop/start periods
Periods that stop after 3 days, then one will last nearly 2 weeks
Late/early/missing periods
Frequent ovarian cysts
Boobs so sensitive it hurts to walk

Hormone tests all normal but consultant said that means nothing unless we did them every week for months, and it's all prob peri. Yay!
