Hi,

I am new here. I hope you can help me.

I wanted to ask has anyone else had a cycle of anxiety as follows: one week levels of anxiety and panic are low or none then they creep up and are really high for a week. Then they reduce again for a week then increase again for a week. It seems exactly a weekly cycle and has been going on for over a year.
I can't plan anything and do the things that help my anxiety and panic.

I am on hrt and seeing a specialist but they can't figure it out either. I have tried various forms of hrt but am on lenzetto and cyclogest at the moment. But I still get the weekly cycle.

If anyone can share any insight I would be very grateful.

Thank you

Have you tried a mirena coil? The constant progesterone might help.

Hi DustyLee123, I am afraid to try it. I have tried various patches for HRT with progesterone, tried progesterone tablets and had serious side effects with my mental health, utrogestan orally but, that made me constantly tired/sleepy the whole day to a point I was just in bed.

Now I am scared to try the coil as if I get side effects from it then it is not easy to remove it. The problem is that when my anxiety and panic is so high I cannot do anything I am just in bed trying to switch off.

The cyclogest I am on I am having 100mgs every other day. I tried 200 daily and it caused side effects so we went back to 100mgs every other day.
My blood tests have shown my estrogen and progestorone are really low. Even when on HRT so they want to try and just focus on getting my estorgen levels up. But, I am loosing so much time, waiting every 3 months to see if it is helping.

My main thing is that why is it happening every other week? Does anyone else have this?

@Hshos this sounds like me. I'm on fluoxetine too and it only seems to help partially x
