My sex drive has bombed and my menstrual cycle is getting shorter and lighter each month. It's also gone from 31 days to 25 days over the last few months.

I'm also finding I'm very itchy, convinced I smell at times and just lately I've had a few episodes of what could be a hot flush.

I'm going to see the GP next week but what should I expect?

Will they prescribe HRT even if I'm still having regular periods?
Can they prescribe testosterone for my libido?

Have you tried menopause POAS to check if you're menopausal? That's how I knew. I went to GP and started patches and Melina coil after going through my symptoms.
Good luck! No idea about testosterone but do ask

I was still having regular periods when I started HRT two years ago. The GP I saw at the time sent me for blood tests first to check that there was nothing else going on before I started with HRT.

I’ve only just been prescribed testosterone (very begrudgingly by a horrible GP) for my libido, it very much depends on how enlightened your GP is but yes in theory you should be able to get it for low libido.

Good luck! I’m still struggling with the effects of perimenopause but HRT has unquestionably helped me.
