Testosterone dose question

I finally had my appointment at the menopause clinic and was prescribed testosterone. Due to lack of availability of all the other brands, I just received a letter that says I've been given Testavan and to take one pump once a week (23g).

This sounds like a lot in one go, and wondered if anyone knew if I was able to spread the dose out over the week. There's no way of me getting in touch with the gynaecologist who prescribed it (I asked during my appointment if I could call back if I had any questions once I'd started, and she said no) and when I rang the hospital pharmacy, they said they didn't know.

Would love some advice - I will call my GP on monday, but they haven't had a clue in many of the conversations I've had with them, and because they didn't prescribe it, I'm not sure they will know the answer to my question either.

Thanks.

Hi OP, I don't know that brand, I am prescribed testogel (no shortages I've never had a delay with my repeat), can you ask to have that instead? (as in ask your GP to swap).

I use a blob a day of testogel.
