Hi

Had peri symptoms age 39- insomnia, anxiety, itching skin rashes, weight gain

Put on evorel 75 worked but still anxious

Moved to evorel 100& utrogestran 100, both taken every day of the cycle (now age 40)

Now have blurry eyesight ocassionally and have started constant bleeding - now for 2wk, stopped for a day then started again after sex (maybe a coincidence!)

Also have underactive thyoid but blood test there was fine.

Q for docs etc and blood test appt - shall I half the hormones eg go back to 75 evorel and 1 utrogestran a day? Bleeding making me fatigued and depressed. Taking iron.

Thanks

If you are peri and still having periods utrogestan is usually prescribed as 200mg for 12-14 days a month and then you have a bleed if you have it as you have your own cycle will breakthrough and cause bleeding. Plus 100mg is quite a high dose you may need a higher dose of utrogestan.

I'd get a coil fitted, I had one for horrible peri bleeding last year and it's stopped the bleeding.

I got my iron levels up very high quickly by alternating taking iron every 48 hrs with a vitamin c tablet.

The coil also means you can have the high strength oestrogen without more of the hideous utrogestan.

It’s probably easier to remember to take 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off or pick a date in the month and start them on the same date each month for 2 weeks x
