Worse PMT after increasing dose of HRT last month?

Last month my HRT Estrogen patch was increase to 75mg from 50mg. Most I've had only good effects but in the past couple of days (I am on cyclical HRT and still having periods) I have had worse PMT that I have in years. I had a really awful migraine, spots and my mood has been pretty irritable and prickly.

Is this common with a dose increase and does it go away? I use 200mg utrogestan12 days a month for the progesterone part of my HRT, this hasn't changed. My GP thinks I am still ovulating as my natural cycle was sometimes breaking through and I've worked with them to try and sync my HRT to my natural cycle as best I can and it seems to be on track now.

Have been feeling so much better and sleeping well on the increased HRT but don't want to be dealing with feeling like this every month!

Sounds like you need to increase the progesterone too.

I think I am already pretty much at the max dose of Progesterone and it wouldn't go up again until after I was on over 100mg of estrogen patches according to my doctor who has been liaising with the menopause clinic on my case.

I think perhaps I will at least give it another month or two and see how it goes.
