Low back pain

The last 2 cycles, I have had excruciating low back pain for over a week before my period - it’s constant pain - difficult to get dressed and ibuprofen doesn’t touch it.

I’m familiar with the dull ache of a period coming but this is very different. Much worse, and goes on for a lot longer.

Could this be a peri “thing”? I am 46.

It eases off about halfway through my period. I’m normal weight, fit, sleep ok…etc.

Hey, just dropping in to say I am experiencing something similar. I normally have light periods with no cramping (all my pain is experienced at ovulation). Last night I got an intense all-over cramping feeling radiating from my lower back to my thighs and even down my arms. I'm 41 and my periods seem to be getting weirder.
Did you get any answers? Has your pain persisted for most recent cycle or was it a one-time thing?
