Vivid dreams??

I think I'm in peri, I'm only 31 but my cycles have changed over the past 18 months and have got shorter, lighter, I've been having terrible anxiety at certain times in the cycle, hot flushes, night sweats and just general brain fog. But the last month or so something new has popped up, I'm having the most intense vivid dreams, so real I wake up and think it's happened and then I feel really odd for a few hours after. I've woken up drenched in sweat, tears on my face sometimes where I've obviously been crying in my sleep aswell. Is this a symptom anyone experiences?

I had this but it really rammed up after having Covid in September ,I started using Magnesium spray and it's stopped. Totally exhausting,it was really horrible.

Pre HRT, yes. Not so much since I started. But I think I may have buggered things up by accidentally skipping a day, and last night had an awful one.

I’m still in bed recovering. At half past one in the afternoon.

My face was all crusty from the salt of tears I know I cried in the dream, but turns out we’re happening back in reality as well.

Today I will be buying magnesium. Enough with this shit.

I do actually take magnesium and zinc at night as it's supposed to aid with sleep but I've only been taking it a couple of months and in actually wondering whether it's causing the dreams.. I am sleeping better with regards to not tossing and turning awake all night but now this is occurring 😂 one thing after another!

This sounds horrible, especially crying in your sleep! I think your body is trying to tell you something.

Is there a history of very early menopause in your family that makes you think that's the cause? When was the last time you had you had a full blood count done? A dysfunctional thyroid can cause a lot of the issues you mention, you might also want to look at PCOS and/or anaemia. Definitely worth talking to your GP and I hope you feel better soon.

I don't get on taking magnesium orally,I spray onto my legs 4x each one after my shower in the morning. Weirdly if I spray at night it keeps me up.

I am already medicated for hypothyroidism and have regular blood tests. My mum had an early menopause but think that was triggered by breast cancer tbh. I just feel it must be that after over a year of periods going strange and loads of other symptoms. Doctors are saying to keep a diary which I am but don't seem that bothered.

Hopefully it helps you. It's amazing how much sleep affects you, even one bad night can throw you off for days and it's exhausting working and looking after kids, house etc.
