Cramping between periods?

Is cramping between periods one of the joys of menopause? I have regular periods for the most part, the soonest I'd expect the next one would be in about 8-9 days. If I didn't know better I'd feel like my period was coming, but it's not.

No spotting I've noticed. Right before my period I occasionally have what feels like a bit of pain across what would probably be the top of my bladder, but that's rare and I don't have a UTI.

If it persists I'll have it checked but more wondering if anyone else experiences cramping between periods (and not just around ovulation time).

I had my son 9 months ago and prior to getting pregnant would track my cycle whilst ttc.

During this time of really analysing my periods/ reproductive system! I noticed that around the time of ovulation I'd get intense cramps/ sometimes pain. I actually find ovulation now more painful than when my period arrives, it's an absolute nuisance tbh! 🤷‍♀️

I used to cramp from about a week before periods started. No bleeding low as mirena coil, so cramps are only the day or two before the bleeding starts now.

It's probably through the second half of my cycle actually.

I notice ovulation but it occurs in the second half of the cycle after as well, which is weird. Not sure if it's a common perimenopausal thing?

Anyone with personal experience?

Hey OP, did you ever have this investigated?

Yes on a train the other day Wednesday I had to bring my knees to my chest otherwise I’d scream out.
On Saturday last week told I was ovulating - don’t have the discharge 10 or 20 years ago I used to suffer.
In 15 minutes the pain subsided but I started bleeding today 21 days since last period. I hoped I could get another week but no.
I have started to think 2 years of pelvic pressure is now linked to menstruation so suppose all isn’t lost with some hope.
