Utrogestan - at a complete loss!

I have been on combined HRT since march and since taking Utrogestan my period has been all over the place. Initially I started taking it on day 15 of my period and found that I would have my period and then spotting which felt like I was bleeding the entire month.

Last month after some advice on here I decided to try taking it from the 1st of the month to override my own cycle but my period came this morning.

Not sure what to do now, do I take the Utrogestan on the 1st (tomorrow) even though I have my period or go back to taking it on the 15th day of my cycle?

it’s driving me mad I just want some regularity in my cycle, it was fine before I started on this and now it’s completely unpredictable! Any advice would be appreciated. X

I was told take it on the same date each month irrespective of period and it would eventually normalise.

So I used to take it on the 21st of every month.

I would Take it tomorrow as planned and it will override your own cycle but may take a few months. If you take it on the 15th day of your cycle it will be all over the place as your own periods are dictating and as peri progresses periods will become more erratic.
you can also take it as 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off.

How much ultrogestan are you taking? I'm on 100mg every other day (not advisable but it works for me). I started taking it on the first day of my period. At first I got spotting, but my next period came on time with no irregularity.
