Period on day 11 of Utrogestan??

Hi all, just looking for some advice on what is going on here as I’m confused!

im on Utrogestan and oestrogel. I start Utrogestan on CD 15 and take it for 12 days. The last three months my period started two days after I stopped the Utrogestan as expected. However this month it’s started today - 11 days into Utrogestan when I’m still taking it. I thought it was the drop in progesterone when you stop taking it that triggers a period? So why had this happened when I’m still taking it? Does this mean my HRT isn’t actually having any effect?

please can someone who knows about all this stuff give me some advice? Thanks!

It's evidently quite common. Try not to worry.
Utrogestan is less stable than some of the more powerful progestogens and sometimes it's not quite enough to give a steady level, and a dip can make the bleed start earlier. The absorption through digestion can vary from day to day. You will probably fine the next time it goes to plan!

Thank you @JinglingSpringbells ! I was actually feeling quite happy about being able to predict my periods a bit more reliably, glad to hear that might still be possible!
