I started Oestrogel 2 weeks ago - prescribed 2 pumps and to take Utrogestan for 2 weeks out of the month.

I can be quite sensitive to medication so decided to start low and use 1 pump only each evening.

Started off feeling a bit more energetic but the last few days I feel yuck. The biggest and most painful issue is my TMJ jaw joint pain that has been settled for months has flared up.

So I’m feeling headachey and fuzzy headed.
Last night took the first of the Utrogestan and have been tired and groggy all day but the positive is that my IBS is like a switch clicked off today, my stomach has been calm and settled all day and I’ve not been to the loo multiple times a day which is usually the norm for me. I guess this is the progesterone calming things?

So, Is this too high Oestrogen or too low? I feel the Oestrogen makes me jittery and a bit dizzy so I don’t want to increase it further but it might be absorption issues and it’s too low?

What should I do? Up the gel to the two pumps and spread it across the morning and evening? Try the Utrogestan vaginally?

Last night I spread the gel on my arms and feel ok this morning - I have a feeling when I put it on my thighs it’s not being absorbed as well as I’ve noticed it’s when I do my legs I feel a bit worse

Any help would be appreciated!

I found the gel affected my sleep, so I put it in in the morning now. And yes, try 2 pumps for a couple of months.

I found it helpful to do a little diary of symptoms and how much I’m on.
