Evorel Sequi 50

Hi, I was prescribed Evorel Sequi 50 in June and they have been great for me so far. Felt I was back to my old self mood and anxiety wise, and felt lighter with life in general (also maybe placebo effect?). I had a ‘period’ for the first couple of months after I’d finished the 2nd round of patches and then one month of a very light bleed in between, read up that no investigation would be done unless it continued for 6 months, so left it at that and periods have continued to be very light, which isn’t a massive concern, I don’t think.

I had a review with the pharmacist and mentioned the unexpected bleed and he noted it but also prescribed me a further 6 months and will review with me again then.

However, I feel my mood has plummeted again, I’m not sure if it’s the stresses of this time of year. I feel Christmas is more of a chore these days that’s mainly left to me to organise (but that’s another thread), and that I might need something more?

I don’t want to go back to the GP without knowing what I am asking for, as his manner can be quite brusque and I can’t seem to find info about whether I can increase from Evorel sequi 50 to a higher dose (I have to have patches due to my medical history). Is there a higher dose and if so has anybody got any experience of whether it helped with anxiety and mood?

TIA.

Evorel Sequi 2 x weeks 50 patch and 2 weeks x conti patch, on this you would always have a bleed. Unless you are on the Evorel conti which is for no bleed, for ladies who have reached menopause. I was on them the Sequi and have moved to another dose.

Anyhow if its Evorel Sequi, and you want to increase dose you will need a seperate estrogen and progestrone (as they dont go any higher than 50mg). Next dose with the patch is 75mg Evorel patch for the estrogen and a progestrone pill 2 x 100mg for 2 weeks a month (utrogeston) to replace the conti patch, or the marina coil fitted for your progestrone.

Hope that makes sense. Anyway your GP should be able to offer options. But if you can only have patches thats the next dose up.
