Mirtazapine

I am currently on 4 pumps of oetrogel and 2 progesterone tablets (continuous) and still feeling incredibly anxious, depressed, having intrusive thoughts, not sleeping etc. The GP suggested trying sertraline but I think that hasn't helped. He has suggested mirtazapine.

For those who also take it - what time do you take it? I have taken it at 9pm but can not wake up at 6.30am. I am worried that if I take it earlier I will be too tired to drive etc when I need to in the late evening.

Any advice...,,

I must be the only person out there that doesn’t get knocked out by mirtazapine!! Everyone keeps telling me about how sedated it made them etc. I dream of getting a full nights sleep without any wakings. Even with mirtazapine I wake about 2-3 times and don’t sleep past 5am when I’ve gone to bed at 11. And it hasn’t made me hungry either…. I can get to lunchtime without eating anything and then I can just about manage a bit of toast or some soup 🤷‍♀️ I’m back at the doctors for my review in about 3 weeks so if there been no improvement with how things are going I think something will have to change!
