Awful low first few days stopping progesterone tablets

I started HRT (for peri symptoms) in Sept and take oestrogel 2 pumps daily, and utrogestan tablets 14 days on them 14 days off. A few days after I come off the tablets I've had the most horrendous low, where I've been in tears and feeling despair. I know it's the hormones but the knowledge of that doesn't help. I feel utter despondency and misery for around 4-5 days.

Has anyone else had this? I don't want HRT if this is what happens!

No I haven't had this see your meno nurse and get reassessed I would say.

Yes but I had it within days of starting the 12 day course.

I changed to the mirena (should have done this to start with) and although I'm always quite low, I don't have the crashing despondency anymore.

I would be sobbing for weeks on the progesterone - whilst on it and then for a week or so afterwards. Then I had a week a month where I felt OK.

Try changing to a a different progesterone.
