Hello I'm 49 have been on mini pill for about 13 years. I'm wondering whether to stop taking it to give my body a break. Have spoken to GP who says you can't stay on it till 52 yrs. I have aches in legs, feel flat and demotivated most of time. Have started evening primrose and magnesium. Just wondered what people thoughts about giving my body a break? Thanks for reading!

I came of the minipill aged 52 to find the menopause had been and gone! I'd managed to miss all the bother of periods coming and going etc.
I had been experiencing a bit of brain fog, some poor sleep and a bit of joint pain..... but it was marvellous to come off the minipill and discover the heavy lifting of menopause was all done!

I’ve been on the mini pill at 50 to stop my periods! I’m hoping to not come off it until everything is done,
