Menopausal symptoms help

I'm after some tips on how you lovely ladies actually manage hot flushes.
I'm 63, so had my menopause many years ago and I was lucky enough not to have any noticeable symptoms at the time. However I now have breast cancer, and one of the medications for that is giving me a second menopause which is not as easy.
I can manage my hot flushes at night by just kicking off my bedclothes, although my sleep isn't great. But what do you do during the daytime? I can be freezing cold one minute, and then tearing off my clothes the next. I'm going to be on this medication for at least 5 years, if I survive, and that is a LOOOONG time to feel this way! I already ensure I wear layers, I try to wear natural fabrics. I can't take HRT as the whole point of the treatment is to knock out my oestrogen.
Help!

I should also say, I don't get much sweating, it's mainly just the feeling that I am burning up.
