How much bleeding is too much

Started on combined hrt patches about 3 months ago,( sometime after my lmp) first couple of months fine, a bit of spotting but no more. Had review phone call with GP, yes all good. The benefits have been great for me, much improved sleep and much less exhausted, but for the past 3 weeks i have been bleeding non stop, varying between needing regular and super tampons so not as bad as periods but not great.
is this standard? Google not helping and next available appointment with my GP is more than 3 weeks away.
thanks

It's not normal, no.

When you say combined HRT are you using patches with estrogen+progestogens, every day?

Are you post menopause ? (12 months+ with no periods?)

If not, combined continuous isn't suitable as it can cause a lot of bleeding (because you may still have a reasonable amount of your own estrogen, which the progestogen can't control).

Some spotting would be normal but not a lot of blood loss.

Might be better to swap to sequential.

Thanks, yes post menopause and and on patches with both hormones in them. Will try and get an appointment then and ask to swap over.
