Increase dose?

Hello - I’ve been on HRT since March and have been doing really well on 2 pumps of Oestrogel and 1 Utrogestan capsule at night. Most of my symptoms pretty much resolved (night sweats, anxiety, depression, stiff joints, dry mouth etc), but I’ve noticed the dry mouth and stiffness making a bit of a come back recently.

I have lost 40 pounds since May which I’m very happy about, but wondered if it might mean I need to increase my HRT as I’m not getting the natural Oestrogen that I was getting before from body fat? In addition I’m having to get dressed when the gel is not dry as it’s taking so much longer in the cold, so I may not be absorbing as much?

I’ve just had a GP appointment but forgot to mention this. Any advice would be appreciated please. Thanks.

Body fat only provides a minuscule amount of oestrogen so I don’t think they’ll increase based on that alone, but I’m sure they’ll let you go up a pump now your symptoms are returning. Most women need to increase over time as their bodies adjust. It might be worth asking for a blood test to make sure you’re absorbing properly. I have an oestrogen implant now because I don’t absorb well.
