I'm on week 7 of estradot 50mg patches, with a rotation of mirena coils for the last 7 years. I had some break through bleeding about 2 weeks into the patches but I've been bleeding almost non stop for the last three weeks. I had a couple of days when it seemed to be tailing off (brown blood) and a few half days where it seemed to stop, but after two days of brown blood I woke this morning to a flood of very red blood and at least one big clot and lots of small ones when I've gone to pee. I had a hysteroscopy earlier in the year which found one fibroid but gynae said to leave it be. No other issues noted.
GP gave me a three month prescription of 50mg patches to see how I get on (follow up appt planned for mid January) but I'm going to try to get a call with her next week to discuss. It's not normal, is it?
