Coming off HRT

I’m on 2 squirts oestrogel and progesterone (can’t remember the name) but I’ve started to wonder whether I really need it or whether I was just blaming normal life (tiredness and irritability) on peri.

I’m thinking of coming off as a trial. Can I just stop or should I reduce gradually?

I'd suggest wean off gradually. I've been forced to come off HRT by my GP who refused to do a scan until I've tried a 6 week break of going cold turkey. For me it's been awful as I'd no idea how much the HRT was controlling mood swings, joint pain, migraines and sleeping.

Obviously you may not need it in the same way and I'm no expert but maybe reduce by half a pump gradually over a few weeks?

I was on the same regime as you @LeonardWoolf and my practice suggested a gradual reduction in gel over 3 months, and then stop the utrogestan also. Really hope a gradual reduction works and doesn't stir everything menopausal up again, but I can't face any more of the almost relentless bleeding HRT now seems to cause me.
