Hello, I’ve been prescribed oestrogen gel and utrogestan tablets today.
GP says I use the gel (2 pumps) every day with no breaks and every 14 days take 14 days of the utrogestan. So 14 days on, 14 days off.
She said I can start the gel at any time but I have a period due in 11 days and I assume it will mess that up? Should I start the gel on the first day of my period to stay in my normal cycle?
I assume I’ll get a ‘period’ when I stop the two weeks of utrogestan?
And I know it’s early days but can you carry on taking the utrogestan to avoid a period of you are going on holiday etc? Or is it dangerous to take it for more than the 14 days?
