I feel anxious and have butterflies all the time.

I can't stop thinking.
I can't sleep.

I feel so tired.

I'm fat.

I have no energy
I keep forgetting things
My hair has gone thin

I have a coil so I've no clue what my periods are

I'm I going crazy or could I actually be perimenopausal?

I'm only just 45

Absolutely! GPs should prescribe on symptoms regardless as to whether you can track your periods due to the coil.

Im 40 in peri with a coil and was prescribed the patch. It has helped enormously and I no longer want to kill people.

Menopaise.
See your GP.
Do NOT be palmed off with any excuses.
Insist on medication/hrt.

You will get your life back!

Most of your symptoms sounded like me 18 months ago. I finally was prescribed HRT but it was a battle.

My advice is to research and learn all you can.

Blushingm · 11/11/2023 14:08

@RedChester @Bonbon21

I could kiss you both! I honestly feel like it's just me and I've no clue what's happening to me

Yes!
Sounds just like me. Feel like I’m a completely different person. I’ve just turned 39, been on HRT for 2 weeks and it’s helped loads already. I had blood tests but GP will be able to prescribe on symptoms alone. Good luck

Could be other things though too so get your thyroid levels and ferritin checked.

45 was the age that things started to change for me. It's peri menopause op. Find a sympathetic doctor who you can talk to op.
