Delaying period on HRT - Evorel Sequi

Despite being reasonably intelligent and knowledgeable about all sorts of things I am still struggling to work out how HRT actually works.

I am on Evorel Sequi so i don't take a break but I bleed approx every 4 weeks. Started bleed today and will start new pack on Monday.

Please can anyone tell me how I can delay my next bleed even by 3 days?

4 weeks today would be a massive pain.

Thank you!

am on Evorel Sequi so i don't take a break but I bleed approx every 4 weeks.

Sequential HRT is estrogen every day and a progestogen 12-14 days every month (with patches it will be estrogen only in the patch for 14 days , then estrogen+Norethisterone for 14 days, then the new pack will be estrogen only for 14 days etc.)

The bleed starts when the progestogen levels in your blood stream falls (same as a normal period cycle.) This breaks down the lining.

The only way you can move the bleed is by delaying the patches with Norethisterone. So you'd need to use some estrogen-only patches for longer.

The bleed usually starts about 3-4 days once you've stopped using Norethisterone.

Just out of interest - I was on Evorel Sequi, stopped because it didn’t help my crippling anxiety. When I was on it my period would start around day 10 of the oestrogen & progestogen patches - ie before I’d stopped the progestogen. Does that indicate I wasn’t absorbing the progestogen in the first place?
