I’ve been taking these for over a year, I did try cheaper ones but didn’t find them as effective.

I did read something the other day saying to not take magnesium with multivitamins that have calcium in them as it affects absorption, and to avoid magnesium and calcium supplements for the same issue.

I take Vitabiotics Wellwoman 50+ and Solgar Magnesium Citrate. Since taking the Magnesium, I get fewer cramps. I eat fermented food for gut health.

I'm taking PrizMag magnesium bisglycinate 3 tablets at night.

I think they are helping - just changed from a magnesium blend.

It's an Irish company and I think only delivers to Ireland (a friend gave them to me).

Any decent magnesium bisglycinate should be good though.

This is a tricky one.

You should add magnesium when you take a calcium supplement, because magnesium helps you absorb calcium.

But you should avoid calcium (not just supplements, also food/drink that contains calcium) when taking a magnesium supplement, because calcium inhibits magnesium uptake.

secondfavouritesocks · 11/11/2023 01:49

why are you taking magnesium? Doesn't it affect heart rate?

Stressybetty · 11/11/2023 02:17

Taking liposomal magnesium l-threonate complex at night. Too soon to see any effects yet.

i find a body spray more effective than tablets. I use it at night for a good nights sleep

I take two mag glycinate about 6pm everyday and I'm in bed between 8.30 and 9 and asleep shortly afterwards.

It hasn't stopped my restless legs entirely, but I do now often sleep for a full 7 hrs a night. (although I had a coil in July and I've been much tireder since that went in so the two things might be working together).

I went to sleep at 9.30 last night and naturally woke up just before my alarm at 4.25.

Thanks everyone i've ordered magnesium L Threonate as the main symptoms for me to deal with are to help turn mind off at bed, anxiety/ low mood and these seem to hopefully help with Brain fog and brain health too which. I also take ashwanganda at bed which i find helpful anyway and magnolia rhodiola in the morning which also helps with the mood / stress!

Nytol herbal is good. Contains valerian and hops.

Aworldofmyown · 11/11/2023 19:22

I buy mine from Nutriadvanced, I've been taking it for 18 months or so.
