Night-waking again - HRT stopped working?

Ive been on HRT for 8 months. I take cyclical progesterone in tablet form and 2 pumps of oestrogen.

It had been working well: head less foggy, night sweats stopped, mood/rage under control, and I could sleep through the night.

But the last few nights I have been waking at 4.30am again. It’s killing me. I don’t feel safe to drive or look after the kids. And my rage is back.

This has happened during the second part of my cycle. I think I ovulated this month and then it was downhill from there. It’s definitely hormonal. I feel like a huge hormonal exhausted mess.

Any ideas where to go from here? The GP isn’t great at this stuff.

The dose for gel is up to 4pumps a day. As your own hormones continue to fall, it's common to increase the dose. I was advised to use whatever is needed to control symptoms (within the licensed doses.) Try upping to 3 pumps and see how that works? Give it a month or so at a higher dose.
