Hi all,

I'm 46 and have been experiencing symptoms of peri-menopause for a few months...

Very itchy, crap sleep, weight gain, occasional night sweats, brain fog..Periods light but getting more erratic after years of clockwork precision.

I have the Mirena already so I'm really not sure what HRT, if any I need.

Does the Mirena help with symptoms? Meaning that without it, things would be even shittier?

I'm going to make an appt but I don't know what to ask for. Will they see I have a Mirena and just send me packing?

You need oestrogen! You have an imbalance. You are getting progesterone from the mirena but your oestrogen levels falling have caused the other symptoms.

Also I recommend testosterone too, it's worked wonders for my energy levels.

And FWIW, I've had a mirena coil inserted as the progesterone part of my HRT as the least worst progesterone element.

Wonderful! Thank you. That's exactly the info I need. I'm a bit clueless about this...

I intend to get reading about it all.
