Hot flush age 40?

I think I had my first hot flush last night. Is this early ir entirely reasonable?

I must add I’m getting the odd shorter cycle and I’m moody as fuck when pre-menstrual.

Hiya I’ve just started on HRT and I’ve just turned 39. I started with the odd hot flush last year. It’s not unusual to have some perimenopausal symptoms at 40. My periods are erratic 21-72 days. Can be lighter and heavier. Keep an eye on it and ask for blood tests if persists

Similar age, cycles are getting shorter and shorter, now down to 21 days. I thought they were supposed to get longer, I feel totally mugged off!!

Aged 38 I started having a 21 day cycle, sometimes 19 days, resulting in 2 periods in a month. Sometimes light, others very heavy & painful. The GP said it was my body’s last ditch attempt to get me pregnant. Basically firing out as many eggs as it could. I gave in & had the mini pill in the end as I was sick of it.
