Evorel 75....there must be something I can do with them?

I have had my Evorel patch strength changed and as a result, I have just over a 3 month supply of the above patches surplus. GP won't take them back and said to just dispose of them, I'm not keen on putting them out with the rubbish after everything I've read about oestrogen finding its way into our water courses. Also, with the ongoing problems with the supply of HRT, this seems a dreadful waste.

Any suggestions at all?

You can cut them up to make the strength you need. So wear 1 and a 1/3 patch to make up.a 100.

That's what I do. I wouldn't throw them away.

You can take them back to the pharmacy.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that my GP has its own dispensary and they aren't permitted to take unused medication back.

I had the same when increased from 50 to 75 - I found someone on here who used the 50's and posted them. Like you I didn't want to throw them away.

I would take them from you and pay postage. I'm on evorel 75 most of the time.

You can take them back to any pharmacy to be safely disposed of. Doesn't need to be your own pharmacy. I know it'll be fine but I wouldn't give/post them to anyone else. Just get rid of them (I'm a pharmacist).
