can too much oestrogen on HRT cause depression, spots and sweet cravings?

hi there, 2.5 weeks ago, I upped my 75 Estrodot patches to 4 pumps of gel (there were no 100 patches available) because I was still getting some symptoms, mainly low libido.

A blood test in July had showed my oestrogen levels were 65, when I was on 25 patches (with testosterone of 0.4) so the GP has continuously upped them until now I'm on 4 pumps of gel.

However, in the last few days, I've become suddenly quite depressed, not really anxious but actually depressed, have spots on my chin, headaches, I can't get to sleep straight away, and literally can't stop eating chocolate and biscuits - all quite sudden...am I on too high a dose of oestrogen now? I have another blood test on Monday, as the GP wanted to see if my oestrogen levels were high enough to get some testosterone (not prescribed by her, but I have an appointment at the menopause clinic in January so in preparation for that).

Should I go down to 2 or 3 pumps of oestrogen? Are these symptoms of too high oestrogen? or should I keep going with the 4 pumps?

I also use Ovestin, but I'm not sure it's making much difference to the lack of sensation and libido etc.

Thanks.
